Stan Carruthers is truly the Carp Valley man. In 1960 he started a business and named it , what else but Carp Valley, only to have it repeated many times over by other businesses in the valley today. He's original alright, third generation continuing his heritage in agriculture farming and crop production. Time has developed a competitiveness to succeed in his endeavours and stride for perfection while raising and breeding Clysdale horses. Stan's continuous and relentless efforts of putting Carp on the map, brought once again, the original World Clysdale Horse Show in the Carp Fairgrounds in August of 1999. As a vendor in the Carp Farmers Market he has developed the following products: 1) Organic Compost 2) Nature Ash for tomato and garden insect and blight repellent. These products are available at the market until the 3rd market day in June , each year.
